As I've mentioned before, Brian does some hilarious impressions of odd things, things you'd never think a person could imitate. Tonight it was weather radar. As in, Brian imitated a weather radar depiction of an oncoming storm. I cannot begin to describe how he did this, but it was hilarious and ...well, good.
What a strange person.
A conversation I just had with Brian after I went to take a nap and found my pillow missing:
"Where's my pillow?"
"Oh, it's on the floor, I threw it on the floor. I'm sorry."
"Why did you throw it on the floor?"
"I didn't know what it was, so I threw it on the floor."
"...You didn't know what it ... What did you think it was?"
"Yeah, I didn't know what it was."
"...What did you think it was?"
"I didn't know. I just thought, 'Get off my face!' and threw it on the floor."
"...How did it get on your face?"
"Well, I put it there."
"... Okay."
I subscribe to richfofo on YouTube primarily for videos of Winston, the exotic shorthair loved the whole Internet world over. Rich, who writes for VH1's blog in addition to maintaining his own, is a pretty all-around hilarious guy. Today I was delighted to find this nugget of goodness in my YouTube subscriptions; who could've guessed that Tyra Banks would prove such a useful debate coach?
One of my close friends had to create a 2-5 minute video for his digital video editing class, and I got to participate! If you've got 5 minutes to spare for some silliness, you should check it out. I think he did an amazing job with the editing, and the story is quite clever.
So I've checked out a few videos by these guys Hank and Jed, and I've enjoyed all the ones I've seen so far. But this one is undoubtedly my favorite, and I'm not sure why it cracks me up so thoroughly. I just think the story is hilarious... if you've got a little over 8 minutes and nothing better to do, check it out:
Never having been a churchgoing gal until I got a job in a church choir in college, I don't know much about Biblical stories. Fortunately, my homeschooled-yet-rebellious boyfriend is all up on the Bible knowledge, so if I ever need to know something, I can ask him. One of my books commented on the use of music as a relaxation technique throughout history by referencing David and King Saul. I asked Brian to explain this story to me. Here's his version, straight from the Yahoo messenger window:
"david was a shepherd for his father and wahtev, and there's the war going on with the philistines and it's all a big deal
we're talking saving private ryan here.
and david was a well known for his music abilities like playing lute on the hillside n shit.
totall hippie
but a bad ass none the less...and see this is why it can't be true, because there are stories of how he killed like, a bear with his bare hands, and killed a lion with his famous sling.
musicians are nowhere near that physical
so he's hanging out somewhere near the war zone, i guess cause his brother was fighting
that was it, he used to take shit to his brothers at the battle.
and the king was in his tent all stressin out cause they were getting their chosen asses kicked
y'know they were the chosen people
so david's all I'll play music for the king and he'll be all chill and then you guys can fight again
so they bring him in and he plays some blues and a little classic rock just to set the mood.
he gets things goin and everybody's much happier and david's all "in" for helping the king
then he goes wacko and says "oh I can defeat the big giant dude with my sling!"
you know the rest."
If church told stories that way, everyone would go!
You know how gmail gives you little sponsored ads that it thinks are relevant to your interests?
Apparently pee and poo dolls are relevant to mine.
...Oh, gmail. I thank you for this. Now I just have to figure out who to give this to as a birthday or Christmas gift.
Since we're on the topic of odd plush things... you might already know about Giant Microbes, but if not... enjoy.
Video: Share a video that makes you laugh every time you watch it.
So what if I'm answering this again?! I have lots of funny videos to share with the world!
I remembered one that I didn't discover on YouTube. I love the show Scrubs, and here's one of many reasons why:
Video: Share a video that makes you laugh every time you watch it.
Apparently this is the theme of my Vox lately. Just see here and here.
Since it's lame to not include something new... my friend Nick came across this. Perfect for those of us who love the fart-humor:
As I've noted, I have a stupid sense of humor. I mean, I appreciate the occasional intellectual joke (if I get it, which is usually more a cause for celebration than for laughter). But typically, I find nothing funnier than ...really stupid crap. So when someone on YouTube combines two of my favorite dumb/hilarious videos, I pretty much want to marry him/her.
The first video I just posted recently:
The second video is one I laughed my ass off about a long time ago. Tonight it came back to me quite suddenly (and Brian had to deal with my obnoxious laughter when I remembered it):
The two magically came together to form the Holy Grail of Stupidly Hilarious Things:
