Oh. Em. Gee.: Aitch. Pee.

Congratulations! I'm just starting The Goblet of Fire and can hardly wait to get to the end. I am SUPER EXCITED! Seriously, Harry Potter Mania has gripped me and won't let go.
Which was your favorite? So far my favorite was Azkaban.
Woo! You're making some nice progress. =)

My favorite up until this point has solidly remained Prisoner of Azkaban--not to say the others are not as good, but that one gripped me throughout and moved me the most in the end. But now--and it might be too soon to say this, I need to reread it in a more calm state--I'm thinking Deathly Hallows is my favorite. They're neck and neck, at the moment.
Dude! How could you have waited SO LONG to read it? (I was upset that I didn't get home from the bookstore until 1:30am to start reading it the day it was released)

Anyway...I won't post any spoilers here....but I've ranted and raved about DH in my Vox and LJ more than I probably should have.

I absolutely LOVED it. Definitely my favorite book of the series. I was crying pretty much the entire time, especially the last like....half. Pretty much after the Malfoy Manor chapter, I was just gone. My heart was in my throat the entire time, I was excited and terrified and overjoyed and everything in between. I have never been so emotional while reading a book, it was fantastic.

I also love how the last like, third of the book is the climax of the book (series?). Pretty much chapter 26 on is the bread and butter of an absolutely amazing story.

But...shit. What do we do now that it's over?

And how awesome are Ron and Hermione?
I'm so with you on the "I have never been so emotional while reading a book," and I am in the process of writing what will probably turn out to be a ridiculously long, nerd-tastic comment on your lj. Lookout, now!
[this is good]
Yay! You're done! I haven't written about DH yet because I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the last 100 pages or so but I know exactly what you mean -- I swear I almost cried like a dozen times.

Steve and I are in agreement over our favorites. I'll elaborate as to why HBP is still tops for me rather than DH. (I'm sure you're just dying to know...)

Anyway, I can't wait to see the movies for HBP and DH now...

YAY Joie!!!

Nicely done -- I won't spoil here -- but will echo everyone that was really pleased wiht the book and the job that JKR did in finishing off the series. Good for her!

It's gonna be a long time until HBP comes out in film next November. I wonder how many I will re-read in that time....
