[this is good]
I heart Atonement so much (as you know, since I tend to go on and on and on about it). I recently read an article from just about the ONLY critic to realize that Briony didn't do what she did because of jealousy. He summed it up so perfectly: she uses fiction to try to atone for what she did, which was caused and colored by her penchant to live within the realms of fiction. So awesome.

I couldn't make it through The Lovely Bones after all. I'm not sure why, except it just really unsettled me. I think I'll wait for the movie and then I'll probably be able to go back and finish the book.
Lullaby was one weird book....I just remember something about a frozen baby shattering on the floor, or something. I'm all for weirdness, but that was a brand of weird that is a bit harder for me to digest and enjoy.

And it's....strange to narrate/think in voices? >.> I can't -not- read in voices...usually it's my voice (or like...my mind's voice?) but with dialogue, each character tends to develop his or her own voice in my head. My mental British accent is beautiful, probably because of so much dang Harry Potter.

It's not the thinking in voices that's strange--I totally do that, too, especially if I've seen a movie and have heard a voice for a character. But uh, I sometimes, you know... narrate my life in my head a little. Not unlike J.D. on Scrubs. And if I'm reading a book I'm enjoying, that in-head narration of my own personal stuff starts to be in the style of what I'm reading.

...That's probably odd, haha.

People think she acted out of jealousy? That's stupid, I never thought that. She was just a young girl who loved the dramatic and didn't understand what she saw. And yeah, she had a crush on Robbie, but she openly admits that it was over and she had forgotten about it. How silly! Poor Briony. ...And everybody else in that story.
Even worse -- it says it on the back of the frakking DVD. I couldn't believe it.
Toy Story was amazing Joie. By the way you left out Cars, Madagascar, and Ice Age. So pretty much everything is covered. Toys, Cars, exotic animals, prehistoric animals...I think that movies will convince everyone that all objects will or do come to life. Oh wait, I forgot about the best movie with inanimate objects-Transformers. You read too much Joie. Nerd. Great to hang out with you last week by the way.-I ramble on...
